Today I want to share some advices you can use to write a nice and professional SAP resume.

1. First thing is talking about your domain experience, for example if you’re applying for SAP functional positions then it’s mandatory to have at least 4-5 years of experience. Some companies prefer to use the term “life cycle” to determine your experience, what it means by life cycle is how many times you have been involved in SAP project from the start until the end, you full involvement will be considered as life cycle.

2. The second thing to write down is about your problem solving ability, in this section you could mention some of the things you have done to deal with some business processes in your company, don’t just list some of the usual stuffs such as configure this, create this or that, you should write down the “What” and the “Why”, for example, configure x to do y.

3. Talk about you recent projects, if you have been involved in 3 projects, then focus 50% on your first project, 30 % on your second project, 20% on your last project, this way your experience will be more visible.

4. Limit your resume to 3-4 pages, just write down things that really matter and relevant to the job that you are applying, it’s no used to have a 10 pages resume just to make some points, because how you communicate your experience is the most important thing to focus on.

5. Be careful with your grammar and vocabulary, have a grammar or spell checker on when writing your resume to make sure that you have a professional looking resume. Because grammatical and spelling errors are intolerable, they will instantly hurt your credibility.

6. Create multiple SAP resume when applying for the job this way you can have higher chance of getting the interview, but don’t over do it, these various versions of your resume may contain parts of your skills, for example in one resume you talk about your a, b, c while in the other resume you talk about d, e, f.

Use these tips to write yourself a winning SAP Resume, be confidence and be yourself, I’m sure that you can have a successful interview and get the SAP job you’re after.
